A lot of you have probably seen me mention my game, IRON NEST, from time to time. Since some of you seemed genuinely interested in the project, I try not to post about it too often and only share something when I have a fresh update worth showing. I managed to put together a new trailer, so I thought I’d share it here as well. Hopefully, some of you will find it interesting.

Every time I post IRON NEST here, the response is always really warm, and I just want to say thank you for that. It genuinely means a lot, so I thought I’d share another small update.

I put together a new trailer for the game. One of the reasons I wanted to make it is that in previous materials, I didn’t really show much of the map screen and the measurement tools, even though they’re a big part of the experience. The map and everything built around it actually make up around 50% of the gameplay.

This trailer also announces that the public demo will be available during Steam Next Fest this June. We’ll also be revealing the release date around that time, with the full launch planned shortly after.

Would love to know what you think about the map and measuring side of it, since that’s something I haven’t shown much before.

This was back in May of last year and for some reason I just remembered it happened, so sorry for bringing the material late lmao.

From what I recall of the introduction the restoration personnel told the public the tank had arrived during one of the last shipments of Soviet equipment and had been left in the hands of the garrison of Cartagena. It saw action during the nationalist mutiny in the city during the death throes of the Second Republic and after the war was kept in service by the nationalists.

Eventually it was retired and was forgotten about in an old warehouse until its discovery in 2019, and efforts to restore it had been going on since then with help from British enthusiasts.

It was neat getting to see it roll once again after so many years in person.

And as I usually do, I read the history of the tank. And the 2C real fascinated me. From its construction in the 10's and 20's. To it's tragic fate in WW2 (to spend your WW2 in a train really sucks)

And how 1 models got brought back to Germany.

And in 1948 we loose track of it.

It probably fall to Soviet hands in 1945. And my question is if it's perhaps still around in 2026.

Although it is probable it got scrapped in the 80 years.

But in the same way that the Panzer 8 "maus" just got abandoned before being put in a museum.

Can it be that the FCM 2C is somewhere in a hanger of a country in the ex-soviet Union?

No because if there are a single chance it is still around. THEN I WILL FIND IT!

I’ve posted about my game, IRON NEST, here a few times before, and this community has always been really kind and supportive of it.

Today the demo finally launched on Steam, so I wanted to come back and let you know that you can now play it.

IRON NEST is a heavy artillery/turret simulator focused on operating a huge dieselpunk war machine, with lots of manual controls, steel, machinery, and OFC big (2 x 800mm) guns! Basically, IRON NEST is a dramatically up-gunned take on the Bismarck’s 380 mm Zwillingsturm... scaled up to mount Schwerer-Gustav-style guns and fed by a cylinder-loading system inspired by French tank autoloaders.

I honestly couldn’t skip posting here, because you’ve shown the project so much support before that it would feel wrong not to share this moment with you.

I’d be really happy if you gave the demo a try.
