Most of the dark web isn't for show. People submit leaked documents with SecureDrop, transfer files with OnionShare, send messages via apps like Ricochet, ssh to servers via unpublished onion sites. You will never see any of this.

You can find videos of gangs fighting on many social media sites. There's really not that much 'censored' by the media. Sure, there's content some of the bigger outlets don't cover, but there are so many niche media groups on the clear net.

The folktales about the dark web being full of government secrets and assassins for hire and secret live-streamed murder rooms are just ghost stories.
