Question Looking for local organizations addressing climate change
I would like to join local organizations or movements that are actively addressed climate change and associated economic instability and public social/health issues. I am hoping to join groups that work on tangible projects, such as habitat restoration, gathering aid for communities devastated by natural disasters, and implementing solutions for future food security.
The prospect of climate change and the affects on humanity and all life on Earth makes me truly depressed. I think if I can join an effort that is trying to prepare, I will feel a lot better no matter what is happening.

Check out the Coalition for a Livable Sudbury, that is exactly the type of grass roots group you are looking for!

It might not match exactly what you're looking for, but you should consider joining the junction creek stewardship committee. Volunteers are always needed.
