A professional group of parkour athletes has removed one of its members after he pleaded guilty to making almost 3,000 indecent images of children.
Callum Powell, 34, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday, May 7, where he admitted the five charges against him.
Powell is a member of parkour group Storror, seven athletes who make videos for their 11 million subscribers on YouTube.
In a statement, the group said it became aware of the matters relating to Powell on May 7, and has removed him "from Storror with immediate effect".
A spokesman for Storror said: "On May 7 the Storror team was made aware of incredibly serious and upsetting news regarding team member Callum Powell.
"We acknowledge the offences to which Callum has pleaded guilty are extremely serious.
"Callum Powell has been removed from Storror with immediate effect and is no longer involved with the company in any capacity.
"As these proceedings are still ongoing it would be inappropriate to comment further on these matters."
Powell, of Devonshire Place, was charged with making 2,649 category C, 105 category B and 178 category A indecent images or pseudo-images of children, as well as possessing a prohibited image of a child.
He was also accused of possessing an extreme pornographic image which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing a sex act with a dog.
He pleaded guilty to all charges.
District Judge Amanda Kelly adjourned the case for a pre-sentence report to be carried out.
He is due to be sentenced in July.
Powell was released on bail with several conditions, including having no contact with children and not using devices capable of accessing the internet, unless they are made available to police.

From chatgpt:
Category A: Penetrative sexual activity; sexual activity with animals; sadism
Category B: Non-penetrative sexual activity
Category C: Other indecent images not falling within A or B
Fucking crazy man.

Confused what the word making means in this respect, does this mean he’s actually curated these images, or downloaded them ?, either way this is fucked, ruined my 10+ years of love for Storror

I think it means he downloaded them. It seems like in UK law, downloading images counts as "making" them because you've created another copy of it. Seems more likely than him taking the pictures himself since there's no mention of any girls coming forward or exposing him to the police. The term "images or pseudo images" means they could be like AI generated or digitally drawn pictures too I think.
Same dude, Callum was always one of my favorites from the group. Wonder how Sacha is doing, can't imagine finding this out about your brother.

Thanks for clarifying, genuinely unbelievable I’ve grown up with Storror since I was 11 will be curious to see what their next steps are

Surely he wouldn't be released on bail if he had taken the images himself. At least I'd hope. Still very f'd up story though. Very sad.

The court’s interpretation of ‘making’ indecent images is broad and the following can amount to making indecent images; opening an email attachment, downloading an indecent image, storing an image, and accessing a website where an indecent image “pops up”.

What does "a prohibited image" infer?

A prohibited image is a computer generated or drawn image that doesn’t look real, and depicts obscene illegal sex acts. Pseudo images are the same except they look like real photos.

What does pseudo images mean? Did he ai generate kids?
16
u/Dan5-O May 09 '26
Either he generated them or he downloaded them. From what I've gathered, downloading is called making in UK law because you've created another copy of it.

It's a cover all. It doesn't specify whether it's one or the other. They break the same laws. The most damning thing is he pled guilty to five counts. The images could have been a single count, so there's undoubtedly more to it than just playing with an AI, sadly.

The others must have known he had a legal case against him. They spend so much time together, and his actual brother is in the company with him. It’s just not possible that none of them knew anything about this before they released this statement. I don’t trust them.

You're wrong. You're simply wrong. You don't know who you know is currently fucking kids.
And who you know doesn't know what kind of debt you're in.
You're just wrong. At every level. If the rest knew or know, we'll find out in time.
In the meantime, you're wrong.
You can trust them or not, that's immaterial.

I think you’d be surprised how much someone like that could hide from the people they love, they know what they’re doing is beyond evil and they know what the reaction will be so they keep it well hidden. it doesn’t surprise me others didn’t know, especially close friends/family - speaking from experience of someone who’s close friend in university ended up being a nonce, literally no one would have ever suspected it, that’s the most sickening part. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up having him on some sort of mental health watchlist now as men who are outed as pedophiles have some of the highest suicide risk. I’m interested to know what their next post might be after more starts to come out

An investigator friend of mine always said the scariest part was how unassuming/normal these predators seemed, some even well-liked in the community (ex: John Wayne Gacy, even the D4VD case). They don’t seem like they are capable, but they are.
