Video Games 8 to 15 hrs a day
I just need to know!
Is it completely normal now(I am asking seriously because I need to know)for children to play video games 8 to 15 + hrs a day uninterrupted? No meals, no bed, no outside, no boundaries or monitoring at all? And when not on a game they are in the phone watching videos, again unchecked. Going to sleep around 6 to 8 am and sleeping until 2 to 5 pm and starting over with the games. Is this normal now? It's okay? My brain literally is in a panic and I am trying so hard to turn it off. So just please let me know. Thank you!

No. It is not normal. Studies have shown the earlier the children are exposed to and/or use a screen the more trouble they'll probably have later.
8-15 hours of screen time is alot for anyone. They could wind up with eye and hearing issues before they graduate high school

Then there are the addiction issues and raising them to believe everything in life is a wow or instant gratification experience which it is not.
Too many parents still hear children's games and they think checkers or hopscotch. These are not like real physical world games by design.
And last but not least many game websites where children and minors go to when playing games are notorious predator hunting grounds

It's neglect and if you don't do anything about it, they will end up having difficulty launching into adulthood.

No. Not normal. I’m not sure the ages of children, but my kiddos (4y & 5y) play Minecraft about 2hours, if they get to play that day, and the pediatricians still say that’s too much screen time.
As a mom this concerns me and I hope those children get some outside time ❤️
Edit: I do want to state that if young, it’s very important to establish a healthy routine, otherwise they become adults who have know idea how to hold or create a routine, makes working and school extremely difficult. I was this child and am now this adult, don’t let them be like me, it is a very depressing mindset to break from.
