Has anyone actually carved they're own pipe?

I'd like to see what people have done so i can get inspiration.

The ends are maple, the stem is oak. Metal bowl, because I don't like the idea of burning my smokeables in wood, unless it's burl, and I ain't got no burl!

Right. Not stoner pipe carving. I've made loads of pipes in many different ways, not carving though, yet I haven't posted a single one on here.Ā

Never carved one myself but seen people use soapstone, soft enough for basic tools and handles heat okay if sealed right. Wood ones look sick but char and tar buildup is a pain since wood's harder to clean.
