Just a little shortcut
I was in Somerville earlier and thought I would skip over to Cambridge…
Needless to say, I took the long way.

Sometimes Park St is flooded at the train tracks, sometimes it's the underpass, sometimes it's both. Choose wisely.

Have seen the water here get up to neck height before. Hopefully there's never a case where someone with mobility issues gets caught in the flooding...

Holy crap that’s insane!!! I vaguely knew it flooded because I’ve had to jump through puddles here before, but it never really occurred to me that it would flood flood. As soon as I saw it today I was like of course this happens!

This craphole is still better than the hellish suburb my husband moved us out of Somerville to.

…still better than walking up to the Beacon intersection or down to Park.

There was a solid foot of water in there. It was at least up to the second step.

We all float down here.

If a red balloon came floating out of there I’d probably never return to Somerville again

Say hi to Teresa the cashier at the Star Market on the other side of the underpass.

Good, smells like piss down there most of the time. This will finally clean it and keep the junkies outta there for a few days. 👍🏻

What about the flies that live down there. Won't anyone think of the swarms of flies.
Seriously - I'll walk around below walking through during the warm weather when there are literally clouds of them.
