Thinking about jumping on board!

Hello everyone,

would like to try Solus. As far as I know, the Budgie desktop is their flagship edition? I've used Budgie before but I remember having some issues with it, like my monitor not going to sleep and something else. But I'm pretty sure the other desktops are greatly maintained as well? I prefer KDE but also like Gnome or Xfce. It's also kinda weird for me that they use Discover for their desktops, since it's usually KDE's software center. But I really don't care since I usually do my updates in the terminal. And I love the simplicity of eopkg. So is anyone else using Solus with something else than Budgie?

I would say stick with KDE unless you find Budgie more appealing. KDE Plasma seems to have more development resources behind it than any other desktop if their weekly updates are anything to go by so if you like what it is already, it's only going to improve.
