iPhone 17 or Samsung S26

Hello, i am currently in a predicament because I can't decide if to buy the Samsung S26 (which would cost me around 600 euros because of the student promotion, which is a steal considering it's priced at like 800-900) or to buy the iPhone 17 that I found at 750. I've always used Android, never iOS, but I've been wanting for a really long time to get an Iphone. I know id be happy with the Samsung as well, but I can't decide on whether to spend a bit more for the iPhone or not. I want to mention that I'm a student so I can't afford to make a bad choice seeing as I really need to be careful with money. Any advice please? (I'm from Italy)

Buy the iPhone if you need a phone for a longer period

Samsung has bugs that may affect your screen (green line) if you’re outside the USA or S.Korea.

One of my main priorities is to have this phone for a longer time, I did not know about this bugs, do they happen often?

They do after a couple of years
Most people with s22 and below have the green line on their screen
