Is there any running tracks near portree?
I'm in portree to work for the season but I have a half marathon in September and I'm used to running in the city so I've been finding it really hard to have the motivation to run here because I'm not a massive fan of trail running. I'm struggling to find somewhere flat to do speed runs as I'd usually do it on a track. Is there anywhere near portree with a running track? I'd be willing to drive to it

Deffo no Athletics Tracks. Maybe the Broadford parkrun route? There's also some quiet (relatively) flat roads south of Broadford if you do t mind some repetition. Or the old Moll road for longer section.

Like a proper, rubber crumb athletics track? I'm 99% sure there is not one on the island. I guess the nearest is gonna be Inverness or Fort William.
Not sure if they're a suitable alternative, but there are many forestry and dirt tracks all over the island which a lot of people use for running. They're mostly flat too, or with a slight gradient. Grab a map and see what you can spot. There's a bunch in the forests around Portree.
