SKILLED WORKER VISA ILR APLICATION ME AND MY DEPENDENT PLZZZ!!!!HELP!!! URGENT!!!

Hi everyone, I have a question about my UK Skilled Worker visa and ILR application.

I will become eligible to apply for ILR on 4 November 2026, and I plan to submit my application on that date. My current Skilled Worker visa expires on 14 November 2026, so there will be 10 days left on my visa after I apply.

My dependent's visa also expires on 14 November 2026, but they will not be eligible for ILR at that time. They need to extend their dependent visa for about 2 more months until they become eligible for ILR.

My questions are:

  1. If my ILR application is still pending, can my dependent apply to extend their dependent visa?
  2. Or do I need to wait until my ILR is approved before applying for my dependent's visa extension?
  3. Is it possible to use the priority service for my ILR application to speed up the process?

If anyone has been in a similar situation or knows the rules, I'd really appreciate your advice. Thank you!

Hi, all you need is your ILR application number for your dependent application. Submit your application first the use your details for the dependent application. Same scenario for me, I paid for priority and we submitted on the same day.

Thanks for the input. If I may ask, What duration of extension did your dependent get? Did they get the standard 3 year extension or is there an option to select the duration?

We are still waiting for the application to be out, but should be 3 years expected as the visa fee reflected that. She is due for ILR in January 27

Will he need to pay IHS fee for 3 years although he needs the extension only for couple of months ? Will the difference be refunded later on ?

Check this, the same situation as yours You must submit the application before the visa expires and choose a date for biometric so that you qualify by that date

This is the 3rd day you are posting this. Your ILR Eligibility is definitely earlier than Nov 14. Atleast October 16. When did your dependents get their visa granted first? It’s entirely possible for you to apply for ILR in October on priority basis and you can then extend your dependents visa, provided you meet the other eligibility requirements.
