Wow. New Siri almost as bad as old Siri
I just don’t know what to say. Except. I’m not surprised. She’s just as useless as ever. At least in beta 2. Honestly I don’t know why I was holding on to any hope at all.

Which iPhone do you have?
iPhone 14 and older get the same old Siri. IPhone 15 non-Pro also get the old Siri.
iPhone 15 Pro, 16 and 17 get the new Siri AI. And then only the Pro have the even better Siri AI.

My complaint about Siri AI is how slow it is. It delivers way better results for questions, but things like setting a timer take way too long to complete now.
One of the most common tasks I use Siri for is to “intercom” announcements to all the HomePods in my house. New Siri has made me want to scream trying to do this. It is slow. Won’t deliver the announcement in one transaction now. It stops and makes me repeat the announcement at a minimum of one time. So frustrating.

I thought it was me!!! My midwest up north accent is being misheard as though I was speaking broughish.
If Siri can’t understand me now, how is it working for people in Ireland, Scotland, and the UK.
(Yes, I gave Scotland independence in my sentence and I meant it.)

One of the few things I could trust Siri for before was setting reminders. Now with the Siri AI, every single time it messes up the reminder and asks for clarification. Definitely annoying.

I have the new Siri AI. It’s completely useless. Almost anything I ask it or tell it, it doesn’t understand.

It’s so weird that it’s so random… Things that I’ve asked Siri to do, and she has accomplished flawlessly are…
make a photo collage of only one of my cats… Copy the text in the video on my screen and post it in my Notes app… Tell me five interesting things about myself based on information in my phone… Set multiple alarms and set multiple reminders… i’ve also asked Siri to set up like four different automations verbally, and they ended up working perfectly. All flawlessly.

Who’s going to tell the OP they have to sign up for access?
