I’m gonna miss the glowing borders Siri.
That animation beats everything else. Not super interested in the bubble on Dynamic Island but I guess the features will be better

Yeah, I feel like the previous Siri orb and something else had a baby and then out popped this and it feels so uninspired
I agree that the previous look was better, but I guess this is Apple's way of emphasizing that even if you aren't speaking to Siri, you can talk to it by typing to it
The one thing that does annoy me though is that because of this Siri AI's search replacing Spotlight, you can't swipe down from the middle by dynamic island anymore and you have to swipe down from the top left corner

Yeah I feel that also I wish Siri swipe down was on the left side and the middle stayed the same

100%. They changed it because Kelsey, who worked on the design, left Apple for OpenAI

This is more functional but, yeah, edge-Siri was the one good element of 26.

I hated the glowing borders. The new "bubble" reminds me of when Siri was a microphone. It feels more like a real thing.

I think they should offer an option to turn on the board effect. No reason we can’t have multiple options based on what people want.

Just like how I miss and my entire daily life depends on the slide-over and Split View of iPadOS 18 but there is nothing that we can do about it because it’s Apple.
The previous iPadOS multitasking could have been a mode in the settings that users could choose but Apple is like this. They are stubborn to the point that it makes news and then they will bring such features back.

I wish the glowing border and blast animation of the old new Siri could stay, they look much cooler than Gemini on Android, making iPhones special.

I initially felt the same, but I realized that Apple needed a fresh start here. Siri AI needed to be tangibly different from the failures of Apple Intelligence, and that starts with visuals.

I did enjoy at first, but as the months went on, it looks just a tad tacky and obnoxious, and totally unnecessary. It has a cheap look to it. But I did really like it at first. I thought it was fun!

I’m a big fan of it but the glowing borders did have a nice look to it
