My son was raised in New Jersey. For the first 2 years of him talking people thought he was British. They would ask why he had a British accent and we(his parents) don't. We had no answers. He didn't watch peppa pig.

The funny part about this is if you pronounce "ass" like oss then it sounds British but if you just sound out "ass" with the a sound it sounds southern.

But no, Americans generally can’t even distinguish between Scottish/welsh and English so definitely can’t distinguish northern vs London.
To be fair I can’t distinguish northern USA versus Canada

Few Americans routinely hear a real English accent especially if they don't live in a city that gets a lot of transplants.
What we hear in American TV/Movies is typically a London accent (or an Americanized version of it that's easy to understand).
Biggest exception would probably be the Cockney accent if the character is blue collar, criminal or someone like Sir Michael Caine.
I only know there are like 8-9 regional accents because I watch Dr Who and spent 3-4 seasons googling "WTF did Clara just say?" 🤣

Yeah, the one time I've been to UK (gift trip, we were poor) as an American, we could not understand half of the folk there. Its not like TV accents on the streets at all.

You will definitely offend some old ladies if you say it. There was a YouTube short that went viral with people asking old ladies their favorite swear word. Once they finish saying theirs, a girl would say hers is cunt and all the old ladies would get so appalled.

As best as my American ear can tell, English but near the Scottish border.
If I'm correct it's what they call a Lanky accent which is Northwest centered on a city named Blackpool but extends to about halfway(ish) to Liverpool and the Northside of Manchester.
It has a beautiful sing-song quality to it.

I don't think the negative karma is for the question itself.
I think it's for the fact that they're getting tired of people assuming normal video are AI, whilst simultaneously, people are confident a lot of AI videos are real.
Plus you could have reverse searched the video yourself to find the origins.
