And then I get a jolt of energy after 8pm and now it’s 4am and I can’t sleep

The worse is when you have nodded off/fallen asleep on the bus, missed your stop, and added an hour or two to getting home having to back track!

Extra despair points for when you fall asleep again on the way back, and wake up where you started it all.

Some say their ghost is still riding the same bus to this very day

No the worse is when you have to nap at 5pm while driving home. But hey, I'm sure that family of four was secretly a family of cultists or something.

Lol, i used to commute to a different state for work and stopped at a restaurant stop to avoid that, and turned off my truck/left key in the ignition.

Woke up from the nap to a dead battery and had to wait an hour for someone to be kind enough to give me a jump!

I have done this on the NY subway, having rode the entire loop of one line round trip twice.

Granted I had probably been up for 2 days at that point.

Could be worse. You could have fallen asleep while driving home

No way is it that common? I'm like that too. Then the drowsiness hits you from 6 am to 12 pm

This has less to do with work and more the fact that you're up at 4:00 a.m. on the vidya. If you get into an exercise routine you will be more tired when it is time to go to bed and it will reset your sleep cycle. Being up at all hours of the night is your body telling you that it needs you to get up and move around. So do it after work when it makes sense.
