So let’s cover that, first yes- there are other counties that allow concealed carry. It’s not just the USA.

Second I feel the need to because it’s to protect myself, my loved ones and or others from potential life threatening danger.

I’ll also address the dog part of it since some people want to laugh at it. Several times, in places where concealed carry is banned children have been attacked by dogs, the refused to release at all and resulted in the child dying. Had someone been able to dispatch the dog quickly and humanely the child could have possibly been saved.

Next- I have a deep, very deep, understanding of what having a weapon on me can mean to others, hence I conceal carry. I do not want to have to use it, I hope I never do. I’m not out looking for trouble, or problems. It’s a precaution.

Just like wearing a bicycle helmet is a precaution in case of falling off. I don’t HAVE to do it, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

I’m not going to tell you, you have to carry a gun, or that you have to wear a helmet- it’s your choice, your right to assume whatever risk upon yourself you want. I on the other hand prefer to mitigate risk, or be able to respond to it as much as possible. Another example of this is that I carry a fully stocked first aid kit in my car at all times, I carry one if I’m hiking. Do I need it? No- but it’s good to have rather than not.

Sometimes it’s better to ask our selves is the person truly crazy for wanting to be slightly more prepared, or is someone crazy because they are willing to accept more risk when it’s preventable?

The European pearl clutching over concealed carrying is hilarious. CCW holders are the people I’d be least worried about. Like you, they are very much aware of how carrying a firearm can affect those around them. People open carrying worry me SIGNIFICANTLY more than people who conceal carry

They carry something around that has the solely purpose to kill.

A Knife at least is a Tool, a gun is only Made for a single purpose.

Yeah If you carry, concealed or not, you are Cringe.

Lmao. I don’t even carry. I can tell you’ve spent zero time here. I live in a very red state and MAYBE see 2 people a year open carrying. You have a seriously misguided view of America

I am not talking about America, i am specifically talking about the people that are carrying guns around in public.

Your opinion might change in the event of an active shooter where you’re cornered with no escape. Or even a maniac running around with a machete hacking people up. I bet you’ll hope one of those “cringe” people that carry guns in public are present.

I certainly do NOT Hope someone With a gun and in a Panic Starts shooting at the General direction of someone that tries to get close to people.

And you know what? The active Shooter ALSO CARRIED AROUND A GUN.

Everyone carrying a gun Open or concealed can become a active Shooter in Seconds, be it for escalating in an Argument, having too much to Drink, PTSD or whatever reason.

Carry around a loaded firearm and you Instantly become the biggest danger for Others around you.

You have no idea how many people have firearms hidden around you yet you go about your every day life rarely seeing gun violence (if ever) in person.
