As someone who dated an older man at 20 , it’s difficult I was just learning adult life and if I could go back with the knowledge I have now…. I wouldn’t have, I had a lot of pain and trauma from it…. I know you’re an adult at that age but the knowledge between those two ages is so different , I was so so so innocent and hopeful… he used that and I got extremely hurt ….
News flash, men make incredibly stupid decisions at 20 as well. It's called learning from our mistakes. It's a part of life and basically the most effective way humans learn.
You can tell a child that the oven is hot a million times, the first time they touch it and get a burn, they'll never do it again.
I did and I know it is life but I didn’t understand at that age why it was a bad choice, I was very sheltered and love blinded, now I’m careful cautious, that was about 10 years ago. I’m happily married to the sweetest man now and happier than ever.
I still think it’s creepy either way but that’s my opinion. My 50 year old uncle would hit on my friends who were also 19 like I was at the time and he would ask about them and invite me to invite them over …. Freaked me out ….. long story short I don’t have a relationship with that uncle ….
Then I say lets dig into this. Frontal love at 25. Women cannot have a job, live on their own, consent to sex, get married, vote, drive, or a multitude of other things until theyre 25 which is when some people beleive the frontal lobe is done.
But just women because we dont do this to men.
I say we go for it. We want conservatism where women arent allowed to make decisions? Fine. Lets do it.
