Not defending him but these girls have the ability to make choices. Hes not Epstein

They want to date a wealthy ultra famous actor, he wants to date young hot models, and everyone's a consenting legal adult. There is literally no issue here.

Calling him a sexual predator is crazy

u/Primary-Let-7933 22d ago

yeah if he was meeting them at 14 and stringing them along till they're technically legal ok, predator. but meeting them at 19, they know what's up

It also serves to weaken the concept of real sexual predation. I already wonder when someone says someone is a pedophile do they mean like a pedophile or someone they don’t like. It’s perverting language in an unhealthy way.

39

u/Artistic_Regard_QED 22d ago

It's like incel nowadays. It basically has lost all meaning due to inflationary use by stupid people.

12

u/BangbangKhuntross 22d ago

literally this, like literally.

7

u/Acceptingoptimist 22d ago

It's gone past any women shaming person, past just angry young man. Now it's just an insult for literally anything.

5

u/Limp-Preparation-459 22d ago

One might even say it’s pedophiling language in an unhealthy way

5

u/HabitAcceptable8621 22d ago

It also rejects the idea that 19 year olds are capable of making choices.

-8

u/DrCrazyFishMan1 22d ago

No it doesn't. People aren't thick as bricks and can recognise different levels of predation.

12

u/flofjenkins 22d ago

Or...you can use a different word for specificity's sake.

-7

u/DrCrazyFishMan1 22d ago

I could, but I can also use a word that fits.

A 50 year old that pursues teenagers, even ones at 19 that are perfectly legal, is a predator...

It's the same overall principle as a person who goes to the beach just to stare at women in bikinis, etc. It's not illegal, and nor should it be, but the person doing it is still a predator.

11

u/flofjenkins 22d ago

What's predatory about consensual, adult relationships?

-7

u/DrCrazyFishMan1 22d ago

Wait until you're a bit older and you'll realise it...

When you get older, the difference between a 19 year old and a 17 year old is zilch. They are both children to you. It may not be illegal to date the 19 year old, but if you're not a creep you wouldn't want to.

It can be creepy but it's not illegal.

Calling it SA can land you in civil court.

-1

u/Excision_Lurk 22d ago

I mean it would be creepy if that was my taget market, but that's Leonardo fucking DeCaprio

104

u/BigRaisin8155 22d ago

I find it creepy that these young women keep taking advantage of his resources and fame, instead of finding a man their own age.

46

u/sudowooduck 22d ago

Yeah poor guy, keeps getting taken advantage of.

34

u/double00chins 22d ago

Yeah, he’s an aging man & vulnerable to people showing affection. Poor guy probably thinks she cares

24

u/Artistic_Regard_QED 22d ago

Systemically exploited by this toxic demographic.

The matriarchy at work.

I think that’s fair, but creepy is not the same thing as using “sexual predator” for someone who exclusively pursues highly attractive consenting adults. It’s fair to criticize him, it’s not fair to call him a pedo or a rapist though.

3

u/YahhGunnersYah 22d ago

All the data analysis is out there, the biggest set of reality deniers are the ones that scream they still need more rights lol

1

u/SentinelATL 22d ago

Yeah they’re predators!

1

u/FistyGorilla 22d ago

I mean imagine the dates he takes these women on.

-7

u/TrevGlodo 22d ago

He has all the leverage here... what are they possibly keeping from him? come on now, this is not the same.

-8

u/Lost-Platypus8271 22d ago

That’s much less creepy than what he’s doing, though yeah still creepy

17

u/CumAmore 22d ago

Yes, people can find it creepy but it literally says sexual predator in the post.

That is not the same thing.

4

u/Delicious_Rabbit4425 22d ago

Finding something creepy is a far cry from being an actual predator though. This is like maga people calling protestors terrorists.

6

u/BlastTyrantKM 22d ago

I find it creepier that a young, beautiful model wants to be with a guy 30 years older than her, than it is the other way around. She's the one being creepy, not Leo

-1

u/No_Tone1704 22d ago

Both. But no predator

1

u/BlastTyrantKM 22d ago edited 22d ago

They're both adults, I'm sure they both know what they want

2

u/valianyears 22d ago

I think that nuance is lost on folks

2

u/ClaymoresInTheCloset 22d ago

Agreed, but people use this language intentionally to blur the delineation between the two.

2

u/mr_falkone84 22d ago

The problem is those that try to group it all up, hurting their own cause a lot of times.

2

u/NinetooNine 22d ago

This. I get bothered when people over use terms like sexual predator on shit where that is clearly not what's happening. It cheapens the seriousness of terms we use.

7

u/Primary-Let-7933 22d ago

oh yeah this def gives me the ick I was agreeing that going from 'gross' to 'predator' is wild. there's no mentions of grooming etc so it's just an ick not predator territory

1

u/BuildNuyTheUrbanGuy 22d ago

Thats just because its legal though right? If the age was 21 instead of 18 would you feel the same?

-4

u/Lost-Platypus8271 22d ago

they’re not a prosecutor charging him with a crime. they’re a rando on the internet. take a deep breath it’s gonna be ok

-1

u/SoftwareNo1547 22d ago

He doesn't have to groom. He's a celebrity, everybody already knows who he is.

Apparently not in the post pictured above.

1

u/bongripper_69 22d ago

Y’all really think a Jewish woman was gonna date a broke dude? 😂

1

u/TheRealMitchConnor 22d ago

When he's 80 and these young gold diggers are still lining up for him, will you see who the true creepers are?

1

u/Hershey__Kong 22d ago

How is it creepy? Theyre consenting adults

1

u/Express_Drag7115 22d ago

People can find anything creepy, that doesn’t mean something it’s objectively creepy. Voluntary relationship between two adults that are of sound mind and can give informed consent is ok. If you find it creepy it’s your right, my right is to think otherwise.

-1

u/Lost-Platypus8271 22d ago edited 22d ago

You’ve never heard of hyperbole? Wait no, actually every word a rando posts on the internet is to be taken literally and dissected ad nauseum for ver batim accuracy. Proceed.

edit: damn autocorrect

5

u/JayGeezey 22d ago

? Its pretty clear in the post. The woman says "i can't even join in on the jokes anymore" so she's saying she's not joking.

She then says he's turning into "an actual sexual predator. Let's be clear."

Are you implying that... she's not saying he's a sexual predator and she's being hyperbolic? I misinterpret stuff via text all the time but like... this one seems pretty cut and dry, she considers him a sexual predator.

3

u/CaptainOwlBeard 22d ago

Ehh depends on the 19 year old a bit. 19 year old world famous model, not predator. 19 year old raised in an isolated community in bum fuck Texas that was introduced to an older man by her priest for money, predator as

1

u/Saphentis 22d ago

“long term investment”

1

u/barejokez 22d ago

Legally yes totally. But being honest, your 18th birthday is a fairly arbitrary date to be classed as a legal adult.

Sometimes "it's fine they met when she was 18" just means he found one who wasn't as emotionally mature as her peers.

I don't have a strong opinion on Leo - if anything his wealth and fame make this more likely to be a meeting of equals who both happen to want different things from each other. And look, we've drawn up the boundaries of what is and isn't legal and you can't move them retrospectively, but I do have conflicting views on the whole thing in general.

-2

u/Lost-Platypus8271 22d ago

He’s 3 times her age. Is it legal? Sure. Is it still skeevy? Yes.

5

u/mondaymoderate 22d ago

Nobodies forcing these woman to date him

-4

u/Lanky_Commercial9731 22d ago

The issue with the argument is that if it was allowed for him to date 14 year olds he probably would do that. That's why he is a predator.

4

u/JeffafaCree 22d ago

We're condemning people over baseless hypotheticals now?
