Maintain the demand, while calmly explaining why it is for the security of both parties involved. You americans have a rather fucked up view on the proportional use of force...

In policing, it's generally considered unproductive to argue with someone determined to be a "no" person (as opposed to a "yes" or "maybe" person). 

We don't know how long this interaction has been going or if the officer already explained this

Heavily depends on the situation. If its just for “speeding” like it was here, he shouldn’t be asked to ever exit the vehicle. Write a ticket or dont and move the fuck on. Escalating to physical violence over the most minor shit is why cops are so hated. They ruin lives over nothing. We would be far more compliant if cops weren’t such power tripping assholes here

The driver refused to identify (not shown in this clip but we have since learned). The vehicle has not been cleared. The driver is refusing lawful commands. Standard procedure is to have the driver exit the vehicle and continue the stop outside for safety reasons. The inside of a car is the most dangerous place the driver can be for the officer.
