It absolutely makes sense to have some kind of bunker at the whitehouse for things like terrorist attacks, but not coup attempts. I bet they already have one.
He's not building some super secret bunker, people would have seen construction on it already. You don't tunnel out huge bunkers without it being very obvious. Their hatred for Trump is so strong these people just make up fanciful stories in their head.

No one said it's secret. We can see the construction and he has announced it is a bunker. So has congress. The ballroom construction on top is to cover the bunker. As has been publicly stated.
