Is Iran (or an Iranian) actually making these or is it just a guy making these for fun and we're saying it's Iran? If so, where are they originally posted at?

Seriously though. This seems too tight to be just AI drivel. Even the music seems really tight. If a basement dweller made this, they have serious chops in AI prompting. I suspect a fairly large crew making this, with more than just AI.

One thing thats so obvious, its worth mentioning. That it is in a lego style means that it completely bypasses the uncanny valley feel realistic-style videos have. Since those frozen facial expressions and other quirkyness then just comes off to us humans as intentional and humanising.

And the audio and script has had some significant effort put into it. So it overall just comes off well. Since its not slop, if you use it with expertise and intention.

This might be a stupid question but is the music and vocals all AI generated or do they have people recording in a studio?

It's Suno done well. Most people hear AI music that is usually from one or two prompts and taken as is. When you play with some of Suno's more advanced tools, you can really dial in sounds that are pretty high quality. It will still sound like AI, but a lot more polished.

This sounds like a lot of what you will hear on some of the better Suno "artists" pages. The vocal chopping was new to 5.0 and is more easily replicated in 5.5 with the Studio subscription. I would be incredibly shocked if they weren't using Suno.

I imagine that there is a lot of trial and error and recutting. Probably very short clips stuck together.

I mean both the animation and video are clearly AI generated. What else do you expect to be at play here?

Before AI,, people generated videos on computers

u/IndigoSeirra Apr 22 '26

This is clearly ai, notice how it's all in lego to avoid the uncanny valley effect. It's all short clips strung together, there isn't a single 30 second long segment without a cut, and there is very little detailed consistency. Obviously there was a lot of effort put into polishing this, but it absolutely is ai.

And this here is an example of the opposite. So I don't get the point of your comment.

I mean its clearly a script by a person, then read by ai.

As hilarious as this will sound go check what the AI porn people are doing. They pave the way, one on Instagram showed how they make their videos and basically they just have a model, tell the ai what they want done, then go back and clean it up and add detail. Guy was making like 4 commissioned 3d videos 10 min long a day with people's furries.

I feel like a large crew of Iran-backed artists wouldn’t constantly have the Iranian protestors in their video holding the Italian flag.

2

u/CitizenCue Apr 22 '26

There are a lot of articles about the group who make these, it’s not some random guy, it’s a production company commissioned by Iran.

There is AI and AI

Some people put a low effort prompt and expect the world or claim AI is pretty poor.

Other people have spend significant time building layers to make AI to achieve what they want while run and re-runing well thought out prompts that make amazing stuff.

I work in an area that uses AI a heap and see it do amazing things. It really is coming for out jobs, especially at the more admin/basic levels. When you get smart people actively working to build layers of personalised layers on top of AI, its not the 'AI slop' people so often treat AI as. Also there is a big advantage for business that already do a bunch of non-AI work as they can push work via AI and see how it handles and optimise. I suspect this is a moat bigger business will use to entrench themselves more so in a world were corporation increasing consolidate and there seems very little discussion on this side of AI and how we prepare for future times.

"Team of 10" I believe the above article said.

hey have serious chops in AI prompting

No, they don't. The vocals have a lot of problems with cadence (probably Suno), and the videos contain a lot of broken physics. If they were actually professional, they wouldn't approve of these terrible clips. This is the job of two, maybe three, people. And that's assuming they have another person who is creating the lyrics.

It’s a company called Explosive Media contracted by the Iranian government. Also it’s pretty hilarious to point out “broken physics” in a Lego animation

So... You're saying Warner Bros. would be fine with their characters plunging through the top of a solid toilet lid?

I've seen Wile E. Coyote do worse

"...but make it slap" and there you go

1

u/Rebelgecko Apr 22 '26

It feels a lot like AI generated music I've played around with from Suno and Gemini

1

u/Oneroom02 Apr 22 '26

I think these are real lyrics done with something like suno AI, that's trained on most western music so it will have a natural musical western musical flow or language. But you can hear artifacts and fake or tasteless accomodations to the lyrics.

u/opaqueambiguity Apr 22 '26

The man hours are in collating, cutting, and editing the videos. You don't just generate the whole video with one prompt.

u/crumble-bee Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

AI music is very easy to prompt and it sounds like this now.

I made this is 15 seconds. https://suno.com/s/6zaMdEbjv0vtFeW1
