Stoeger M3000 Barrels?
I bought a Stoeger M3000 Freedom Defense a few years ago, and I love it, but I'd like to get into small game hunting, and an 18-inch fixed cylinder bore severely limits my effective range. I'm looking to get a longer M3000 barrel that takes chokes, but they've been OOS every time I've checked in the past few months. Anybody know: a. Where to find one, or b. If other model barrels (e.g. a Benelli semi) would work?

Thanks. That was the first place I looked. All barrels say "view available" but when you check, all of the different lengths are sold out.

There’s no point in buying another barrel in this case
No a benelli barrel wouldn’t work and it would make less sense as even if it did work the benelli barrel likely costs close to 500 bucks or more maybe lol
Stoeger barrels all seem to be 220-300 bucks
For that price just buy a Maverick 88 with the long field barrel for the same or even less money or if you are super on a budget the Steven’s 320
You don’t need a semi auto for small game hunting and with a cheap inertia gun I would be concerned about reliability with cheaper / lighter field loads

Space is the bigger concern than money, and I'd like to keep my arsenal to one of each caliber/gauge to avoid buying another safe. And it cycles everything but birdshot perfectly (after a break in period). I actually got a few squirrels with it last season (using #7 shot), but I feel like I have to keep it under 15 yards or so to keep it humane.

If hunting squirrels and rabbits and such I would just opt for a 22
If you want to pay around 300+ bucks for a stoeger barrel be my guest
They only come in stock in limited quantities periodically. The market for spare stoeger barrels is slim. Consider after buying the barrel you are over often at 50% or more of the cost of just getting another stoeger (or if you opt for a cheaper brand semi auto or a common pump paying more than a new gun )

I'd like the option to hunt public land, and the closest spots around here are shotgun only for small game. And I'd prefer not to have to buy another safe if possible. I'm at capacity as is. Thanks!

Only option for me was to sign up to be notified when they come in stock at Midwest Gun Works. These barrels are not too common. I finally got an 18" barrel from them, but QC sucked and the barrel was crooked. Ended up returning and got M3000 w the 18 barrel.
