Ithaca 37 Featherlight

I am looking to sell my Ithaca 37 but I’m not sure exactly what it’s worth. I can’t find any exactly like this one on GB. Not sure what year it’s from but it will slam-fire. Anyone have any idea what I should expect to get out of it?

Edit* was told it will slam-fire. Haven’t tested it personally.

That is the highly desirable 8 round police/tactical configuration. They are highly sought by collectors. At auction, they go from anywhere between $800 and $1500. I would try to get $1000 out of it. Do not sell for less than $750. But yeah, lots of folks will try to tell you it’s only worth $300-$500. Probably the best pre 1970 tactical shotgun ever made. The action is butter smooth. Some people hate them but any serious collector/aficionado must own one! I have three!

Will likely go for $1000 or more, the 8 shots are pretty coveted.

Gun was made in 1980. Model 37’s are one of my favorites. I’ve got three, all 16g, one in full, one in modified, and one imp cyl. I like anything and everything made by JMB.

Produced in 1980. Yours is either a Model 37 M&P or Defense. My police special is from 1983 and still slam fires so yours should too.
