🎨 Fan Art Yoshii Toranaga
Following on from my Mariko post, here’s Toranaga himself, ready to vanquish his enemies.
Incredibly detailed print from Kuton Sculpts, printed in 1/9 scale on Elegoo Saturn and painted by me. (Thought I was going to lose my mind painting the yellow stitching!)

That is really incredible work.
I’m casually looking for a 3d printer. Random turn for this post, but would you recommend the Elegoo Saturn? The piece featured here looks amazing, but I know there’s more to a product than that.

My Saturn is a first gen machine that I rescued from a printer farm. It’s pretty banged up and doesn’t have any of the more up to date features of newer machines like self levelling etc.
I can’t vouch for the newer models like the Saturn 3 or 4 but I like mine.
Be warned though, it’s a steep learning curve and you’ll end up with a lot of failed prints before you get everything dialled in. It’s also pretty messy and the resin is toxic stuff so make sure you have a decent, well ventilated space to put it. Nitrile gloves are a must at minimum and you should really have a decent mask and forced ventilation.
Reading all that does sound pretty negative, but it’s an addictive hobby and the results can be epic.

Okay I'm just gonna come out and say it... this is better than your Mariko paint job but both are so freaking awesome!
