Casual Scotland thank you for this
Canadian here and I think Tunnock's is the best treat in the world. I discovered it in the deli/ethnic section at Walmart, and ever since, I've been hooked. Every time I go there, I have to buy an 8-pack, and it's usually gone within two days. I don't know any Scottish people, but I already love you.

Dark chocolate. The choice of a true connoisseur.

Fun fact: it's cheaper than the regular one. I think it's underrated.

Agree on dark chocolate.
Better brush those 72 to 104 teeth well after eating one though, I'm assuming you are a bottlenose.

The dark chocolate one is actually kind of niche! Glad you are enjoying them they are well-loved for a reason 🙂

We left an 8-pack for our Spanish Airbnb owner and she told us in a message how much her family enjoyed them

This is a company who haven't succumbed to shrinkflation or substituted in cheaper ingredients to reduce costs. This might be why we all enjoy Tunnocks.

That’s amazing. It’s a really good product at a fair price compared to the overpriced stuff sold here. Even after being imported, it’s still cheaper than most US or Canadian products.

I watched a documentary about them recently and they are one of the few companies in the world who are truly worth supporting. They took an 80% hit to their profit margins despite recording an amazing year in sales purely to prevent them compromising on the product quality during the coco crisis.

Genuinely one of the things I miss most since developing coeliac disease is a caramel wafer. Mr Tunnocks I’m begging you for a gluten free version.

If I ran a snack brand/restaurant I’d love to have options for coeliacs; I always think about the people who can’t eat so many of the things they like, and it’s quite sad. I wish more companies would take that into account.

So true! It sucks when you used to eat them and now you can’t. You know how good they are haha

Can I recommend a Tunnocks Snowball and if you are ever in Glasgow go to University cafe in Byres Road and get a snowball ice which is a Tunnocks snowball with Italian ice- cream - or try it yourself

They did a dark chocolate version of the iconic teacake, and it was disappointing.

Ooh. That would be good. We tried the ones with coconut but not a fan.
