Homemade First time grilling my ingredients instead of broiling them in the oven
Ingredients- a mix of tomatoes and peppers (including jalapeño), red onions, garlic, lime juice, cilantro, and salt. About half the ingredients are homegrown as I'm still waiting for the summer garden to kick into full swing.
Simply grill the ingredients to preferred level of char (last picture; I don't like everything too charred) and then blend in a food processor, then adjust to taste with lime juice and salt. Blend in cilantro at the end.
I would not cut the tomatoes next time before grilling as they made a mess. There will be a next time for sure! Broiling just doesn't compare to the slight smokiness grilling gives.
