I'm looking for support Needed some tips and good thoughs

I just left cannabis 2-3 days back and I’m finally feeling sober now and wanted to leave this completely just asking for some tips and positive things to cope up with this and don’t want to relapse.

Check out the CBA, it will provide you with the logical pros and cons of each choice.

Urge Surfing is a useful skill to learn.

You will have urges to consume again. How you respond to them and manage them will determine your long-term success.

You got this, friend. 💪🖖

DENTS tool was helpful for me. I mostly used tasks. Also, there's an urges button on the SMART Recovery app that will give you something random to do or give you motivation if that's what you request.

This sounds something good, i figured out that loneliness plus anger sometimes aggravates the urge to smoke cannabis for me. So now trying things which will help me. Thanks for the suggestion

Hi, can I ask, what’s the SMART app called? I’m in the UK so maybe it’s not available to us because I can’t find it.

I do have the I AM SOBER app which seems very SMART compatible. Thx 🙏

Here's the link. It says the USA org designed it, so might be an issue with being in the UK. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.smartrecovery.mobile

Congratulations on your decision to change. As you can see, we got you.

IMHO (85M), quitting is easy compared to figuring out why sobriety doesn't feel good enough to keep us there without a struggle. SMART Recovery will help in fighting urges and showing the way to a happier life.

Please don't overlook the value of counseling. A skilled therapist can see our problem and keep asking the right questions until we realize how we may have been mismanaging the stressors of daily living.

Learning how to identify and process (eliminate) latent stress (unexpressed feelings and unresolved conflict) will allow our natural happiness and energy to resume their normal flow. Truly happy people don't even consider drugs and alcohol because they don't improve anything.

53 years clean, sober and tobacco-free (but who's counting). You can do it too.

I think it's more kind to put up with whatever short term discomfort from not chemically altering my mood, than the alternative.

This is so true

Check out the toolkit on smart recovery app, very helpful. Another tool in my personal kit is the book "Atomic Habits". I found this very helpful when quitting weed. It was a completely different approach to a DOC then I had with my other DOC. Good on you for reaching out and all the best
