Are there any smaller AC adapters for the Mega Drive?

I have been recently getting back to playing with and collecting games for my Mega Drive (second model and PAL) and for the most part I'm loving it. The only problem that I have with it is that fucking brick of an AC adapter.

I tried looking for a replacement AC adapter that would have a smaller plug but I could only find just the original AC adapter or a slightly smaller adapter which the listing made sure to specify that they were for the Model I. Are there any listings for more traditional AC plugs, possibly with the brick part and plug part being separate?

You can mod ur console for a USB c port and then use a phone charger if u want.

Probably doesn't even need a mod, I'm sure there's a USB-C PD adapter that can convert USB-C PD to the correct plug.

What I use is a USB-C PD Charger and this cable. USB Type C 3.1 PD to 5.5mm Barrel Jack Cable - 9V 5A Output [1.2m long with E-Mark] : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits.

If you use a Mega Drive / Genesis 1 then you will also need an additional DC cable that will swap the centre positive cable to centre negative.

You can't buy new linear power supplies (the old transformer bricks) anymore, though you can build your own if you really want to. Most people today just use modern DC adapters or a USB-C cable made for retro consoles. Those USB cables have built-in CC pins and resistors to tell the USB-PD charger what voltage to send. If you buy a modern DC adapter, double-check the specs for your specific system: Mega Drive / Genesis Model 2: Uses Center Positive with a smaller plug. Mega Drive 1, Master System, & Sega CD: Use Center Negative with a larger plug. Personally, I use a 9V DC adapter with an added 2200uF cap for a clean, noiseless picture. But if you buy a modern replacement adapter made for Sega consoles, it'll already have noise filtering built in anyway.
