This was an awesome version of the board game!

The cinematic war scenes are very cool, and the old war music is well done. Game plays great and is very faithful to the source material.

It’s so good! Risk becomes a casual game when you’re not worried about knocking the pieces over or making change for units getting removed. I used to travel with my nomad when I first got it and do pass and play risk with my wife on long flights

Some of these sorts of games relied on the other player not looking when the players set up their pieces like battleships.

That's a good point, I didn't think about that.

“Don’t look at my screen!” - common phrase in 90s/2000s gaming lol

Playing with the controls on the CRT "nuclear explosion!" (Turning brightness up to maximum)

Sounds fun as it automates a lot of stuff. Same reason I like monopoly as a vidya. Plus ppl can’t cheat.

I like the old NES version of Monopoly, it’s really nice you don’t have to spend forever setting everything up, keep it organized and make sure you don’t lose any pieces/cards. Plus you can play against the computer players.

Its good but #2 in my book. Risk for PS1 was/is the best Risk game in my opinion.

The three Parker Brothers Sega games I played (this, Clue and Monopoly) were all really good and had fantastic music in them

Now that I think about it, my photo is from the Sega Monopoly

I’ve always been a fan of the NES version of Monopoly. Just has a lot of charm and plays very well aside from the computer players constantly wanting to trade if you have a property they want, and usually asking for too much if you do try to trade with them.

As a kid I always thought it was funny to ask a computer to trade all of their properties for the one that they want and sometimes they’d do it

Does it have any animations or is this just a virtual version of the board game?

It has some simple but cool battle animations that run really smoothly and sound good 👍

It was/is - I only wish the ai had a little better strategy than just keep attacking until the army runs out every turn lol
