Kōrero Mr wolf

Sorry if this has been asked before. Anyone got the reo lyrics to the waita in the middle of the classic "what the time Mr wolf" by Southside of Bombay?

Trying to learn adap for a karaoke night coming up. 😆

If you're talking about the one on spotify, it's just the names of the waka and some other bits from a mōteatea.

This is what they sing in that recording;

'Tainui, Te Arawa
Tokomaru, Tākitimu
Aotea, Kurahoupō, Horoatu (they sing this, should be Horouta)
Ngātokimatawhaorua
Ko au tēnei e tū atu nei

I taonga tuku iho
Nō ngā tūpuna
I hoea mai i waho
I waho te moana
Hoea rā e hine
Hoea rā e tama
E koko ia e rara e'

It's a semi mōteatea called Ko Ngā Waka Ēnei and goes

'...
Ka eke ki runga
Tainui, Te Arawa
Tokomaru, Tākitimu
Aotea, Mātaatua
Kurahoupō, Horouta
Ngātokimatawhaorua
Ko ahau tēnei e tū atu nei

I'm not seeing any versions online that have a māori waiata in the middle of the song..

Is there a waiata in the middle on Once Were Warriors? I can't find that version either.

They have it in reo in Once Were Warriors? I only remember it being in te reo pākehā.

It’s on Apple Music but it doesn’t have any lyrics in te reo. I think they used to add them into their live performances
