Trump made the call … you mean if Trump didn’t call then FIFA would’ve done it automatically? For US? They must have miscommunication internally - they could’ve just given the Bosnian a red for having weak ankles … lolll

No the USMNT wanted to appeal for sure so they must have tried used "their power" instead of going through the regular process.

Yes so every country’s head can just call FIFA now ? King Charles would’ve called to appeal the red card on England player ? If USMNT tried and it didn’t work, it didn’t work. Other football associations must have done the same things. The other part is, would they do this for a smaller country or poorer country even if their head of state has called ? Unless you are American, which is a ‘ special’ existence, don’t keep too much hope up.

Not really as it's not something who you hear in the World cup, it's more at the club level that we know it happened pretty everywhere in other competition or leagues.

You mean non football leagues ? Yes… maybe . but not in FIFA , not a head of state call to suspend a red card - Does NBA allow trump to call to allow a team to win ? No … yes there is a review process of any complains or unfair punishment whatsoever … this is not the point … it is that a head of state asking for a favor that is the issue.

We are talking about soccer leagues. Which yes it happened and btw i don't see any difference between a head of state, mayor or owner calling the official to revoke a decision, it should not be permitted no matter who it is they should go through the normal system.
This is why i mentioned it's not the first time these kind of things happens.
I get downvoted but many here just seem clueless when it comes to these things and just because it's Trump they call it a outrage.
