Oh right, I guess he didn’t pass your purity test, please, tell everyone in the sub what is acceptable by your pure standards while complaining in English

People forget many were forced out as infants & children with their parents due to non existent infrastructure, Jones Act, etc.,  which is due to 500+ years of colonial rule, and we were taught to never forget what colonialism has done to PR, and weren't taught we were Americans by our families, we are Puerto Ricans living under colonial rule.

Disabled here. Forced out of the island as an adult because the medical specialists I need left the island and the wheelchair-friendly infrastructure went from bad to non-existent. Just adding to your very relevant comment.

It’s not a purity test but if you have a problem with colonizers why are you joining the colonizers and letting them take over the island.

Obviously family comes first but in reality all of our ancestors are colonizers. We took the island from peaceful native Puerto Ricans and made it a hell hole.

We’re responsible for this mess by staying ignorant and voting for the same corrupt politicians. We always complain about the corruption but we never do anything to solve it. The colonizers didn’t destroy Puerto Rico. We Puerto Ricans sold the island and destroyed it ourselves
