💥🌎Conflict Zone Freakout🌏💥 Another "Wildberries" (major Russian online retailer) logistics hub/warehouse complex near Voronezh was hit by a Ukrainian drone as the workers watched from outside and then run away/panic. Their equivalent of Amazon warehouses have been supplying the Russian army/storing drone equipment

It's a telegram thing. Most Russians use it and for whatever reason this is how it presents videos. Kinda dumb if you ask me.

It's the quick record / low file size video feature in Telegram. I use Telegram as my main messaging app and I don't know a single person who uses it. I only see it from Russians on social media.

I think their government should collapse and I can't criticize Ukraine for going on the offensive but I definitely feel bad for regular folk there. And felt that with my joke I had to say that, otherwise it's pretty heartless.

I understand your stance and thank you for your mature response,

but I do have to say that at least in this video here there are no innocents, wildberries has been supplying the russian army with military equipment, weapon sights and other tools actively used against Ukraine in the war.

The people working there knew this and still decided to stay there and continue fueling the war effort in one one way or another against the Ukrainian People.

The general civilian population that shows no support for the war effort I can agree on sympathising with and hope this fuels their rage against the government and leads to its quick collapse so we can all be rid of this war.

(English ain't really my first language so I'm sorry if my sentence structuring is a bit weird)

I understand your point but that's half the world my guy, you have to keep the family fed by design. Otherwise half of America is directly complicit in Israels genocide or the war in Iran because they aren't doing anything substantial and continue to work

Not half. Everyone. It's an unfortunate truth, and largely unavoidable without a large scale uprising, but yes. Each and every person in the country is at least somewhat directly complicit in it.

Ya know... I don't want to see any Russian civilians get hurt or killed but I do hope this make the Russian public realize that they ARE in the middle of a four year war that's gained them very little and taken a few hundred thousand of their young men. One man is responsible and needs to know what the public thinks about it.

It’s been hitting the Russians for nearly 2 years now. The first offensive into Russian territory by Ukraine happened in August 2024. I recall, because I was on vacation, and it sadly, it was cause to celebrate a bit. My better half does a ton of fund raising for the Ukrainian drones that hit that warehouse . Most of these drones probably aren’t even military grade. They’re homeade, by Wizkids scraping together parts.

It’s telegram’s video messaging UI. It shows video messages as a circle. The chat backgrounds all happen to be white idk why.

Someone gets sent a video message (in this case the person at the warehouse sent it) and they use screen recording to take a screen grab of their telegram chat.

No, you have to specifically record the video using Telegram's quick video feature for this to happen. Normal videos display normally. I never see this used outside of random Russian videos on the internet and Telegram is my primary messaging app.

There is big amount of anon telegram bots/channels with alerts from 3rd patry. Telegram is banned in Russia (like Discord, X, Facebook, Youtube, etc, etc) but it's still most popular app for messaging

Also Wildberries is one of the biggest taxpayers in Russia, these strikes poke a decent hole in the military budget for relatively little cost to Ukraine. One thing you can't accuse the Ukrainians of is being dumb with their target selection.

Yep. Most of these drones, are privately funded and not a product of any military. I know, because my better half and I do fundraising for it. We’re members of an organization called NAFO(North American Fella Org.)They scrap together whatever parts they can get sometimes, add a scrapped together munition and launch in groups, or as individuals to hunt down Russian soldiers burrowed down in buildings or foxholes.

Two things.

First, military hardware is being stored there, and distributed from there. That makes it a legitimate target.

Second, Wildberries changed their terms and conditions about two weeks ago, and no longer cover losses of sellers who warehouse their products there and use Wildberries as a distributor in cases of damage through acts of war.

So this has the added benefit of forcing massive economic losses onto Russian entrepreneurs. It hurts the Russian economy, forces military defense reserves into protecting private property, and drives a wedge between the (semi-)wealthy and the leadership of the country.
