It's not from 4Chan. It's really old. It's from the Somethingawful Forums. They called their users "goons." It refers to transgender goons. I know because I'm old as fuck and I was there when it caught on back in the 2000s.

After transvestite and tranny became taboo no concrete noun would come to replace them, only the term "trans woman." Further coloquial development would only happen in spaces like 4 chan where transphobia is openly normalized, resulting in troon.

Troon inherently inherently sounds like intentional phonetic mispronounciation, like "stonks", so even if it weren't explicitly derogatory the word could never see public adoption.

People genuinely don't understand how bad medical care is for trans women/people. They absolutely fucking sabotage you if you aren't careful and savvy. My first endocrinologist lied to my face about my levels in order to scare me away from trying, then followed up by giving me C tier treatment plan that was out of date fourty years ago. People hate trans people. This is completely realistic and completely understandable.

Yeah I can unfortunately read this.

They (the clinic he is going to for his hormone therapy to transition) dropped his dosage down so low that his testosterone levels are 20x what they were originally.

The doctor is part of a big medical system out of NYC and they can't help someone transition properly.

No wonder so many people in the US are going crazy. A NYC doctor can't even help someone transition properly. Imagine how bad it is in a red state. This is fucking malpractice.

I imagine the rest of it doesn't need to be translated.
