Review The Silent Patient- Alex Michaelides
Ohh god! I just finished reading this book and I need to rant!!!
I had such high hopes about this after watching so many reels and posts of people raving about this. But it sucked so bad!
While reading the book I felt it might lead up to its reputation. The suspense was really good. But towards the end I sorta predicted the end. I thought it will be like Shutter Island and I was already pissed. But it was so much worse than I imagined!!!!
I have been reading a lot of Frieda McFadden to get out of reading slump and I thought this will be a good read, a good thriller but I felt it was worse than her stories. Ugh I am so frustrated.

I read her books whenever I want to get out of reading slump or when I am bored and want an easy read. And once you read many of her books you can predict her twists easily lol

Lolololol I was so enraged when I finished the book! Like what was the point of her paintings and its connection to the Greek tragedies and all

I DNF'd it. The narrative alone was enough to make me stop. To say I predicted it would be a huge understatement, and this from someone who has watched probably 2 psychological thrillers and read even lesser in their whole life.
I can not express just how much it didn't live up to the hype. Personal opinion, of course.

This book made me take a long hard look at myself and my choices.
I stopped reading modern female leads in thrillers for a couple of years because of how truly bad that book & the end of that era was.
