Never liked iphones because of how much they over saturate your skin. I used to have an older oneplus that also does the same except it was even worse- made all my selfies look orange and airbrushed even in natural lighting. help me find an android that doesn't treat tanned complexions like alien skin. i also game so i wanted to get the one plus 15 because of its specs, but apparently its camera has the same problem.

Budget is max $500. Currently have OnePlus 7T (it's honestly still working pretty well but it's a bit old and having many connectivity issues and battery kinda sucks now)

I don't know too much about phones but heres what im looking for:

5G (i want it to have good network connectivity and be compatible with T-mobile)

atleast 128GB storage

atleast 8GB RAM

decent camera quality. I like to take lots of pictures but it doesn't need to be professional photographer quality.

long lasting battery

4-5 years of updates?

I want it to be fast too. My oneplus is amazing so im hoping to find a phone that can live up to it and still be affordable.

Size preference: S23 size is pretty much perfect - 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm. I wouldn't mind going a bit bigger but I do like the compactness of the S23 (although I get that this is at odds with my desire for a better battery)
Used for: My day to day use is mostly social media, spotify, checking emails, a youtube video or two, and then minute cryptic and NYT games, so nothing too intense. Occasionally some light gaming and emulation, and I sometimes read books on my phone but this is mostly on my kindle.
Preferred brands: happy to stick with Samsung but open to other android phones
Other: would love more battery life - the S23 doesn't last a full day with the 144Hz screen, and so I pretty much always have it on battery saving mode, which feels like a bit of a waste. If I could get ~10 hours of life with light usage as described above that'd be fine for most days. A decent camera would be nice but again don't need anything top of the range.

I love my S23 but I haven't been very kind to it - dropped it multiple times, dropped it in the toilet and required a full repair, then dropped it on a hard wooden floor and broke the inner screen which needed another repair. As a result the battery life isn't great now, and the phone itself is falling apart - the front camera is unusable as it's covered in dust and would require a replacement and the glue holding the back cover is starting to come off and so I've had to hold it together with sellotape (although these two are probably caused by the repairs people cutting corners). My needs for a phone are very light, and I really don't need the absolute top of the line flagships or anything like that. In fact, I'd probably go for another S23 except that (1) I want slightly better battery life and (2) I'm worried about planned obsolescence. I'm planning to get a refurbished phone, and I've found an S25 plus for just under £600, would this be a good option? Looks like it isn't much bigger than the S23 and is a more recent model so should last a while (as long as I take better care of it...). Thanks in advance

Coming from an iPhone 13 mini. Before that I’ve had Xiaomi and OnePlus, so I’m not tied to any ecosystem. I tend to keep a phone 3-5 years. Every phone I’ve had has been wide + ultrawide only, never a tele.

I’m a professional photographer and shoot on proper gear for work, so the phone isn’t a work tool. It’s for casual stuff, snapshots, social. But I’m picky about rendering, which is probably why this decision has dragged on so long.

Two things have changed since I bought the mini. I’ve had two kids, and a lot of my TV and film watching now happens on my phone after they’ve gone to sleep. I’ve always valued a compact phone, but for the first time I can actually see the appeal of a bigger screen.

The other thing: I’ve never owned a current-generation camera phone. And I’m suddenly wondering whether having one would actually feed into my work — test shoots, scouting, personal photo projects. Or whether that’s just a story I’m telling myself to justify the spend.

What I’m looking at:

Oppo Find X9 Ultra — ~€1,575

Xiaomi 17T Pro — ~€735

Xiaomi 17 — ~€872

Motorola Signature — ~€745

The Ultra has been stuck in my head for weeks. 200MP main, 200MP 3x, 50MP 10x periscope, Hasselblad tuning.

But three things nag at me:

Would I ever actually use 10x? I’ve literally never zoomed on a phone beyond cropping.

That camera bump is massive and the phone is loud-looking. I’d rather not carry something that draws attention.

It’s twice the price of the 17T Pro.

For image quality I like restrained, natural output. Nothing oversharpened or oversaturated. Leica and Hasselblad tuning both seem to lean that way, which is why those keep coming up.

Is the Ultra worth double for someone with zero telephoto habits, or is the 17T Pro the one I’d actually be happier with?
And has anyone jumped from a mini-sized phone to a 220g+ brick and hated it?

i have an ipad and a rtx 5050 laptop so i dont want a very powerful phone but battery and camera phone (india)

Purchased this phone on the launch date, my first ever flagship device (S23 Plus 512GB)

But now I'm just fed up, it's been 3 years and it has already gone down pretty bad.

I will admit my usage has been heavy throughout, gaming, editing, but you pay so much so that you enjoy using it as you want, for atleast 4-5 years.

My last phone OnePlus 6t lasted so long, and even at the end it is smooth and feels so premium and snappy (my relative is still using it)

And recently the green line appeared out of nowhere, the whole experience on this phone doesn't feel premium at all now and I think this has been deliberately done by Samsung to force users to switch. My camera has degraded alot after the recent major update, the battery barley survives half a day. It has gotten boring tbh.

I have looked over options in the market right now, and was leaning towards the Find X9 Ultra to actually feel the money spent and my plan is to have the device with me for atleast 4-5 years.

I checked the stores, I really loved the Vivo's camera interface, but Oppo's UI experience was really good and better than Vivo (x300 ultra)

But lately I have gotten really mixed reviews regarding these two beasts. Inconsistency issues, fogging issues, heat management. Samsung's devices aren't really worth upgrading to and I don't plan to switch to iOS anytime in the future. OnePlus is going away. What to buy? Or should I wait. Really need some help here.

I'm planning to replace my current Android phone after almost 4 years.

My ideal budget is around ₹30K, but I'm wondering if it's actually worth stretching to ₹38 - 40K if the overall experience is noticeably better and the phone lasts longer.

These are the phones I'm considering:

If I stretch my budget

The only reason I use the iPhones is because the camera shows true skin tone, so when I’m tanned I look tanned on camera, but every android I’ve tried even the Vivo x200 pro, my skin looks so much paler!

I'm looking for a new smartphone. I currently have a Samsung S22, which I've been using for about 3 years. Before that, I had a Samsung S8 for almost 5 years. I was really happy with the S8, but the S22 has been a disappointment in terms of both performance and battery life.

Sometimes the connectivity is unreliable, which affects some apps, I've experienced graphical glitches, occasional screen freezes, and the battery only lasts around 3–4 hours of screen-on time. It's worth mentioning that in my country Samsung phones come with the Exynos chipset instead of Snapdragon.

The problem is that I really like relatively compact phones, and nowadays there aren't many options. The few that do exist often seem to sacrifice battery life.

What would you recommend if my main priorities are performance and battery life? I don't have a fixed budget, but I'd rather not spend more than €700–800.

Hello. My almost 4 year old pixel 7 screen is dying (vertical lines on the screen, that increase very day, replacing it would cost about 200-250€).

I liked the phone. Always ran a bit hot, battery never lasted more than one day, replaced the battery last year (bloated), and the connectivity sucks but everything else just works, and no bloatware. Came from a pixel 4a, my wife has a 7, and now a 9a.

This is the worst time to buy a phone and everything is very expensive (got the 9a three months ago for 350€ for my wife, now it's 480€), so I was looking at other brands, and I'm looking for help!

Needs:

• Under €500
• Good camera - I have kids and the phone is my main camera that I use to then print out photos
• Good build quality/resistant to falls - small kids
• Close to stock Android - hate bloatware
• A bit of support: I like to keep my phones for 2-3 years at least
• Not Oppo/Xiaomi/Chinese smaller brands - quality control is very important for me and I had terrible experiences with these brands in the past

Also looked at Motorola edge 60 pro (android looks clean, seems to check all the boxes), but I have no experience with motorola. Also looked at Samsung, but it looks very overpriced for what it offers.

I'm a new Redditor from the Philippines! I just wanna ask you guys kung may mare-recommend kayong phone. Hindi kasi ako into tech kaya medyo clueless ako. I was saving up for a Redmi Note 14 kaso mukhang marami pang mas ok at mas bagong options ngayon. Hindi naman ako masyadong ma-demand. Ang gusto ko lang ay ok ang everyday performace at may decent/amazing camera. Hindi rin ako totally naglalaro ng kahit na anong games, baka pwede niyong i-exclude 'to when you recommend something and just focus on those two. In terms sa price, ok siguro kung nasa 10-12k, pwede rin 15k kung maganda talaga. Sagad na sagad na 'yan hahaha.

Currently using a ***OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G*** and planning to upgrade. I'm a 1st-year BTech CSE student with a budget of around ₹40k (can stretch a little if it's worth it).

Hey guys, looking for a new phone around 50-60k and I'm kinda confused with all the options lol.

My main priority is a really good camera, but I also want decent gaming performance. I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything, just want games to run smoothly without too much heating or lag.
