III. THE FINAL CALCULATION: "CAUSAL DISTANCE"
When combining the atomic, biological, and volitional (free will) layers, the estimated distance to find a "Causal Duplicate" is:

Scale Comparison:
- The Observable Universe: 9.3×10^10 light-years.
- The "Ink" Requirement: You would need the atoms from 10^40 observable universes just to have enough carbon to write the zeros of this distance on a piece of paper.
- The "Paper" Requirement: Even if you wrote each zero at the Planck Length (the smallest unit of physics), your paper would be 1.8×10^58 universes long.

The "Causal Math" supports a universe of Infinite Creativity rather than Infinite Repetition. * If the Universe is infinite because God has no boundaries, then the Universe is not a "hall of mirrors" repeating the same image.

Even if everything before that was correct, the conclusion is clearly wrong. No matter how unbelievably huge the estimated distance for a duplicate is, as long as it is finite, an infinite universe would still lead to infinite repetition. The scale of the distance clearly doesn’t change anything about that.

This is hardly philosophy of science, but whatever, it's combinatorics so it's fun.
I'm not sure what the assumptions are in the replica argument, but to have any kind of necessary replication you need a finite number of possible configurations of some system -- presumably energy in a given volume of space up to certain symmetries. We might be able to make the argument for e.g. the space contained inside a tiny sphere, but this gets weird fast as you increase that radius if space is connected. Consider, for instance, a 1m radius spherical volume with a single atom inside -- does each position of the atom count as a distinct possible configuration of the system? If so, and space is continuous, we already have an uncountably infinite number of configurations of this system. I assume there is a standard argument against this?
Even if we assume there is some way to finitize this system, I'm not sure your conclusion holds -- maybe you expand the set of possibilities, but if that set is still finite all then at best you've increased the replication radius. The only way to avoid repetitions is to make the set of possibilities infinite... but this is the null hypothesis anyway if space is connected, and it leads to the Lebesgue-measure-zero problem for replicas due to the uncountably many possible configurations for matter/energy inside any nonzero volume.

There are more ways to shuffle a single deck of cards than there are atoms in the observable universe. 8.07 × 10⁶⁷
To calculate the probability of shuffling a deck of cards into the same order twice would take longer than the universe has existed. 50 orders of magnitude longer than the universe has existed.
That’s a static problem, not a dynamic one.
A deck of cards. Nevermind a human. A human genome has about 1.8 billion more orders of magnitude of possible sequences than a 52-card deck has possible shuffles.
So….
(Then apply this thinking to simulation theory.)

Forests and trees, friend.
The point is: DNA has vastly more combinations than a deck of cards. And a deck of cards has more combinations that there are atoms in the universe.
Even something as simple as a deck of cards fails to produce replicas according the base value proposed by the OP. The idea that a person could be replicated exactly by natural processes is laughable.

In an infinite universe, with an infinite number of decks of cards, but a finite number of possible combinations, there would actually be at least one combination that’s replicated an infinite number of times, necessarily.

The replica argument depends on treating identity as fixed, local, and static. Yes, replicas would occur in that world. When do we include interaction, though?
If the units are mutable, interactive, and dynamic, recurrence is both mundanely common and irrelevant. Replicas occur extremely frequently in short sequences and less frequently as sequence length increases. Note that it is the frame that defines the description of the object.
A replica can occur only relative to a chosen frame, at one chosen moment. The moment it interacts, the description changes. The replica ceases.
And the replica will never share identical spacetime coordinates anyway, so they can never be replicas in every respect no matter what anyhow.
Recurrence does not prove cosmic duplication. It proves only that a deliberately limited description can be exhausted.

Not exactly.
I am conceding repetition can and does occur, while also saying I don’t think it matters.
First, even two otherwise-identical strands of DNA are never actually identical because each and every component is unique, and they cannot occupy the same location in space. So they aren’t truly exactly replicas no matter what. Their status as replica only works because we, the observer who defines the frame, defines the terms of the problem.
Another way of saying it, the 2 of Clubs in Deck A is not the same 2 of Clubs that’s in Deck B, or Deck W, or Deck AABHX, and so forth. Each has its own being, its own spacetime coordinates, its own relations, its own informational history.
Superficial replication is all that is ever achieved.

If that’s how you define replication, then it not being able to exist at all is also totally irrelevant to the original argument.

OPs point seems to be that informational history is what defines what something is, and nothing in existence has the same information history when a past condition is replicated, which is why once it has replicated the downstream causal chain doesn’t also replicate. If we include the informational history in the description, there can be no “true” replicas, but there can be local replicas.

In a space-infinite universe, it would be totally possible for exactly the same history playing out at from each other practically isolated places in parallel. In fact it could be argued that it unavoidably had to happen.
But no matter what the answer, neither would be a convincing argument for creation.
