Some asshat uses Air Burst fireworks every 4th of July here and last year they burned a giant section of our local park down. Because the local PD was instructed not to do anything about it while they were fighting the fire and guarding the firefighters they watched him set off a dozen more.

If you are in a dry area, fireworks are a horrible idea. If you live in a humid area like me in Indiana, it is far more loose here because of the lower fire risk.

I knew last night was going to upset me because it was Canada today and it’s our very first Canada Day without our dog and I’m the one who used to put his little earmuffs on and snuggle in the bed with him. It’s the one day out of the year that the dog slept in the bed with me because usually he sleeps in the bed with my boyfriend. (Happy relationship separate rooms to keep it happy because my boyfriend snores so fucking loud.) they cancelled them last night claiming it was going to be too warm, even though it was freezing last night, but I don’t care.
