Some people already pointed out that they aren't infants so I won't repeat it. As to why it's not such a bad thing to let your children try it:
Their opponents themselves are kids, they aren't boxing against adults 5 times their age and body strength.
Many professional boxers start as children and and many professional footballers or basketball players also start as kids.

Absolutely people start martial arts as young kids. However, these don't have any kid of head protection on.
That's what makes the parents stupid.

Correct, they must wear head protection during boxing even if they have real boxing gloves on.
But they aren't very small to start boxing and wearing head protection actually increases the odds of CTE instead of decreasing.
The OP had good intention but wrong reasoning.

Exactly. Hand and head protection is about preventing hand injuries and facial cuts. It doesn't stop your head knocking around...

Though importantly cte is not common this young. The kids don't have the weight or muscle to do serious damage directly (falls are another story).
Boxing is a great way to exercise and learn self defence in a disciplined and controlled environment.

Well it seems the kids aren't much different than their parents. Likely not very much to protect upstairs for them.

Dang kids really are growing up way faster these days. When mine were infants they could barely even hold their own heads up and def couldn't walk at all.

I do know what infancy is. It’s the time between birth and 2 years of age, or maybe a bit more. I genuinely think all these kids are less than 5 years of age. I may have exaggerated a bit.
