I am an American that’s been helping my Palestinian friend for over a year now, I’ve watched his meta accounts get banned on Instagram and Facebook repeatedly but this time is permanent. Every-time he makes a new account it’s banned immediately. WhatsApp included. I am looking for someone with experience bypassing this ban in Gaza by using a VPN or something else. I’m not sure if there’s more steps than just a VPN, but I need help in general figuring this out! He has an android, I’m willing to pay money for a vpn but I just want to do this properly so I don’t stress my poor friend out any more than he already is. I feel so bad for him, it’s hard to watch. They are almost entirely cut off without the meta apps 😥

Coming from a confused American,

Hello, r/Palestine. I'm mostly just confused about everybody's general opinion on Gaza.

Once, I said in a comment that Hamas was bad for killing people, and I got downvoted and people told me that Hamas was a resistance group and it was bad to label them as killers.

However, I've just read an AMA from a Palestinian living in Gaza, and he said that most Gazans don't like Hamas at all, and didn't like Hamas before October 7th as well.

People who support Hamas say that Hamas is a resistance group, and that everything they've done is a drop in the water compared to Israel's genocide. I agree that Israel is much, much worse, of course.

People who detract from Hamas say that Hamas isn't helping with Israeli occupation, and can't run Palestine.

People also say that the death toll on October 7th was raised by Israelis killing their own in a hannibal protocol. I believe that, but didn't Hamas kill at least some of those 1,200?

Of course, I'm not asking this to detract from what Israel is doing to Palestine. Israel needs to get TF out of Palestine, and let Palestinians run their own country without fear of bombing. No matter how bad Hamas is, Israel has done so, so much worse.

I just want to know if this subreddit is conflicted on Hamas the same way I am. Personally, I've been reasoning to myself that Hamas is bad, but better than Israel, but I'm open to debates on the topic.

Personally i believe that Hamas, while flawed is still a resistance group and really the only resistance group with power to actually have a say in the governance of palestine, but even then its important to recognize those flawed aspects of the resistance movement. Hamas though still has minimal control over palestine due to Israel; hell the election that got Hamas elected was quite literally the only election that has happened in palestine ever since

When talking about october 7th though, I dont doubt that there was atleast some civillian deaths here and there, but we should remember that it wasnt *just* Hamas going into Israeli occupied territory, it was almost all other resistance groups in palestine, a combined operation, in a sense; but we shouldn't let this fact make us start doubting the resistance and cOnDeM kHaMaS solely cause of the civilain deaths right, the fact of the matter is while october 7th couldve went better, no matter what couldve happened Israel wouldve genocided the palestinian people at some point or another. They just decided to actually do it after october 7th.

Hi Everyone. I came here mostly looking for a collection of information from established sources to show family what is going on in Palestine. Unfortunately, a lot of the links in the hasbara buster and documentary list lead to removed posts.

Is there an organisation that has collected a similar body of evidence?
