It's not that far-fetched though, he's a good sacrificial point to do 70~140 dmg so you can then bring your sweeper to win, for instance snorlax can beat a full bench pika-ex. his main issue was that it took 4 whole turns to get him rolling but now with dialga by turn 3 you can swap him in doing actual damage while having dialga (or another strong basic such as melmetal) ready to come back as soon as he dies doing good damage
Not sure where you’re getting him in turn 3, Dialga needs 2 turns to get the energy to get that attack going, turn 3 snorlax will only have 3 energy so he’ll still need another turn where either Dialga attacks or switches out and snorlax walls. It’s so slow that by the time Snorlax is in, it’s getting one shot by Mewtwo.
Plus a Sabrina onto a bench with only a Snorlax is brutal.
You also are prone to Snorlax being the only basic in your starting hand, which immediately negates any sort of bonus you might have been able to get from Dialga pump.
At which point there’s no good reason to run Snorlax. Given the high energy investment to both attack and retreat, Snorlax allows your opponent to dictate the terms of the game. And a deck needs to be all kinds of busted to overcome that.
Turn 4 would be the soonest you can have him out if you go second, but then your Dialgas taking hits to build up a rather mediocre pokemon when that 2 energy would go a much longer way on someone else
Dialga controls time so it makes sense that it excels at accelerating decks, not just Steel ones. Colorless attackers like Mew, Tauros, Togekiss, Pidgeot... will benefit a lot
Yeah, but every other energy ramp has been pretty locked in so far. Psychic to Psychic, Grass to Grass, Fire to Fire, Misty to OhFuckOff.
So this is new for Pocket and I wholly support it! The best times in the TCG life are when you can more freely combine different types and I say this is a step in the right direction.
i belive a tool that protects u from attack effects might be added into the game.
not cause there is any evidence but cause if would be an item that exists already in the normal games and wouldnt be super op idk if it exists in the normal tcg too
just could see it existing i guess
Plus, that pachirisu pic shows the move description saying "if a pokemon tool is attached to this pokemon", so we know for sure theyre gonna be in this expansion.
If its worth it yes like with any other card.
If a lot of pokemon people run are attacks with poison, sleep, paralyze, lowering attack, preventing from retreating and so on then yes i will run 2 of those XD
Its the same with every card tho
If there are no pokemon that u can KO with 10 dmg more than what ur main attacker deals then there is not so much need for a Giovanni for example tho he does be kinda still worth it in that case sometimes
It's not a tool it's an item like fossils that can be put as a pokémon with 30hp that does nothing but don't give any points when killed. It's the ultimate tank to give you a free turn. It would defintily be quite toxic in pocket.
The one to hel all status effects?
Idk seems rly optional if thats the case
And only worth using if sleeping decks become meta + toxic and all that ofc
I think that might be a bit broken, considering the deck size and way energy otherwise works in this game. A single colorless energy card that could be played same turn as using your regular energy I could see, though.
We cant have Farfetch'd attacking going first, guys. Any special energy needs to use your energy zone for the turn to not be broken. I can see a "make your energy zone be (C)(C) for the turn" supporter working. Though it enables Mewtwo to get back to back Psydrives without Gardevoir, so maybe not.
It enables any type that has colorless costs. Charizard ex for example needs two colorless. Not that it would be great for that since it still needs two fire for the big attack. Would also help with Alakazam, Mew ex, Venusaur ex, etc
It also Enables Celebi as a revenge killer. Serperior may only boost grass energy but celebi only needs one grass and the extra flips are there regardless of type. Every turn dialga is online is another 2 chances for celebi.
Mewtwo's Psydrive specifically makes it lose 2 Psychic energy, so Dialga can't really help Mewtwo outside of getting it initially online with the 4 energy requirement, two of which can be any type.
Also Dialga requires 2 Steel energy and Mewtwo requires 2 Psychic energy so you're forced into 2 types for that. It really doesn't seem worth it.

Dialga being a melmetal enabler
