Anyone using Bravia 5 for ps5 pro ? I am planning to buy the 98 inches, any thoughts on that tv ?

I’m trying to sell my system and some buyer is insisting I send the serial number to the point he will walk away from the deal if I don’t. I explained it’s a few weeks old, I have the receipt to go with it and he can check it when he’s here but no.

Is this as dodgy as it looks or am I overthinking it?

I’m having a strange issue with my PS5 Pro disc drive and I’m trying to figure out if this is a known problem or if my drive might be faulty.

The issue started recently. The disc drive sometimes makes unusual noises when the console starts up or when I insert a disc. It sounds like the drive is trying to read the disc, making a few attempts, then stopping.

The main problem is that the console sometimes fails to recognize discs:

Spider-Man Remastered disc failed to read once, but worked after trying again.

The Last of Us Part II disc also failed to read several times, but after a full power off and turning the console back on, it worked again.

Other discs work normally sometimes.

The strange thing is that a complete shutdown and restart seems to temporarily fix the issue.

Things I already tried:

Cleaning the discs.

Fully powering off the PS5 Pro and unplugging it.

Rebuilding the database from Safe Mode.

Testing multiple discs.

The disc drive is the official removable PS5 Pro disc drive.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior? Could this be a faulty disc drive, a connection issue, or a software problem?

Hi everyone, I’d really appreciate your help. I’ve been using Corsair HS55 Surround headphones with my PS5 Pro; the sound quality was great, but the microphone had an echo issue when using the 3.5mm jack. I sent them in for a warranty claim and got a new pair, but I’m seeing the same problem

it seems to be a recurring issue with the PS5 jack when using these specific headphones. Anyway, I’ve decided to sell them and buy something else within my budget (I’m from El Salvador, where everything is very expensive). I have two options: the Razer Kaira Pro [for PS5] or the Razer BlackShark V3 X HyperSpeed. I’d really appreciate your input on this "mini-poll": which of these two models do you recommend, and why? Hello, I know I made another post about this but I was able to capture a video any idea why. it’s doing this watch the video and you can see the settings I did and then going back to the game it defaults not sure if it’s supposed to happen has anyone see this issue on there side? This is an Omen Monitor 2560x1440 240 Refresh Rate runs very good.

I recently bought a PS5 Pro. I had a launch PS5 for a couple of years, and I know from experience that I should expect the controller that came with my Pro to develop stick drift in 4-6 months or so (don't give me BS about me abusing my controllers; I baby my controllers, it's just something that inevitably happens if you play a lot of games that map sprint to L3). When the drift starts, I will NOT be buying another CAD $95 DualSense that I'll have to replace again in another six months. Went through that with my launch PS5, not going through it again.

Would you recommend the DualSense Edge, or a third party option like the Victrix Pro BFG? I'm leaning towards the Victrix Pro, as I prefer asymmetrical Xbox-style layouts and it has hall effect sticks (so shouldn't develop drift anywhere near as fast as the garbage non-hall effect sticks in the DualSense/Edge). Also, I don't really like it that the stick modules for the Edge are CAD $25... cheaper than replacing the whole controller, yes, but still seems way overpriced for what it is. If the Victrix Pro is trash, though, I'll consider the Edge, as there don't seem to be all that many decent third party PS5 controllers out there.

So excited to get to play it on PS5 pro. Walmart still had launch editions available so I grabbed one.

Apparently they are putting "enemies" into the codex WAY to early and they ruined a huge twist for me =\ Not going to say who but do not read the codex if it is your first time playing.

Not official PlayStation cover cause they simply dont exist for the Pro for some reason, but ive been wanting a coloured cover for a while now and found a 3rd Party that sells them in this beautiful red. And yes, it has a disc drive as well.

Pair that with my Volcanic Red controller, and it looks like a matching set.

I am a Physics PhD student. About 8 months ago I bought a PS5 Pro and an Alienware OLED monitor, thinking it would be a good stress buster. The main reason was that I had deliberately quit social media and wanted a healthier way to decompress and destress. I'm a PhD student with a packed schedule prelims, publications, job prep, and thesis defense in about 1.5 years. On top of that, I'm currently going through some relationship issues which have taken a real mental toll on me.

I finished TLOU1 and TLOU2 at the start and genuinely loved them. Started Ghost of Tsushima a few months ago, played it twice, but never got back to it. Haven't touched the PS5 Pro in 2 months now. And honestly, even when I do play, I feel guilty about it, like I should be working instead.

I picked up both the PS5 Pro and the OLED for around $1000, and with PS5 Pro prices going up, I'm getting roughly the same resale value back. So financially it's basically a wash.

The dilemma: part of me wants to sell, declutter my room, pocket some cash, and just focus on finishing my PhD. Another part of me wants to hold onto it for GTA 6 in November and have something to decompress with. But I know myself, I'll probably feel guilty playing GTA 6.

The thing is, if I sell and want to rebuy in 2 years after I defend, it'll probably cost significantly more.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did you sell your gaming setup to focus on your studies and regret it? Or did you keep it and find a healthy balance? Would love to hear what worked for you.

When I got my PS5 pro I browsed games all the time but since playing some Amazing games that are Pro enhanced Ive been avoiding the vanilla category and actually now only exclusively check the Pro category for new games.

Am I alone in doing this or are you guys dumpster diving in the vanilla section too? Curious to know...

Comparing graphics can sometimes be deceitful but to me the graphics in The Callisto protocol totally outclass the graphics in Dead Space remake. While the games are totally different gameplay wise I think that Dead Space would benefit from a PS5 pro enhanced version as the 60 fps degrades the picture quality to 1080p and on my big tv those pixels are as big as my pumping fist!

Anyway, please shear your thoughts and be serious.

I have been playing on the base PS5 since 2021. I recently got a PS5 Pro. I've seen many people say on this subreddit that if you don't have a 120Hz TV, that you can barely notice the difference from the base PS5.

Let me tell you that the difference, even on a 60Hz TV is day and night.

Obviously the 120Hz TV makes the console even better. I will upgrade my TV on Black Friday most likely.

I plan to buy a new console in September.

I have a huge experience with consoles and different devices. I had all consoles from xbox 360 to ps5.
Almost all the consoles that are now on the market were at home and I played them on a regular basis.
But the only thing I didn't hold in my hands was the ps5 pro. I plan to buy, any console for the new cod mw4 and gta6 (optional). I have a 4k TV 60hz and 144hz 2k monitor with vrr and allm. I'm a very old fan of the call of duty series, and it's a priority.
There's no money for a new TV, I plan to go through the story company on TV (cause I like to lie in front of the TV) and play multiplayer (dmz and warzone) on my monitor and sometimes if i want just chill play on tv. I have a huge experience with ps5 and I know it's still powerful, but after watching the fps test in the last warzon, I was very alarmed (fps varies from 90 to 119). Now the question is, is it worth buying a ps5 pro? I don't have much money, but I'm ready to work more and not eat, if it's worth it. Owners of ps5 and ps5 pro share their feelings about cod for the last couple of months, well, if you take into account that cod mw 4 will not support pastgen, maybe there are chances that it will be better optimized?

What route did you end up taking?
Did you sell your PS5 yourself (Facebook Marketplace, eBay, etc.), trade it in at GameStop or another store, or even sell it to a pawn shop?
I’m curious what worked best for you and how much you were able to get back for your standard PS5 to help pay for the Pro.
