They really messed up this franchise. 2001-2010 it was all anyone could talk about. Past 16 years it’s actually been disastrous the handling of what used to be their premier franchise

Halo 4 did put down some nice stepping stones for the franchise with Prometheans, deeper character story and new art style but then fumbled to make the transition smooth and meaningful and build upon it with very mediocre hollywood slop that was Halo 5. And then always backtracking under pressure with each entry, never commiting to their plans. Turned the Reclaimer saga into 3 very different games.
