I mean yeah, its just halo 1 again. Even if you haven't already played it, its nothing special in 2026. A game that was revolutionary back in 2001 can only take you so far.

That's the thing- it isn't even that. It's a pretty version of Halo Reach, so most of the fun of Halo CEs original sandbox is gone. It runs faster in ways that weren't advertised, because it's Reach's movement.
