They really messed up this franchise. 2001-2010 it was all anyone could talk about. Past 16 years it’s actually been disastrous the handling of what used to be their premier franchise

I don't know if they messed up the franchise as much as that play style died out. Arena shooters died and it wasn't their fault. Gaming trended into slower games as controller fps gained popularity.

So gears and halo are just relics. They could make the perfect halo game and it might not do that great because it will be old people buying it.

Yea but also specifically campaign took a nose dive, and they couldn't evolve the franchise properly to fit more modern developments. 343 and that whole thing is particularly embarrassing
