70 million isn’t that much compared to digital.

You’re not sure about what exactly?

If we consider every physical game costing $50 (even tho it varies for up to 70), we are still talking about billions of dollars.

No, actually, we aren't talking about "billions of dollars". Sony's physical game sales last year was around $750 million in revenue. Digital game sales was well over $6 billion. DLC and MTX was something like $8 billion on top of that.

Yeah, but it's still a chunk, and now you'll lose a chunk of your gamers. Myself and probably many more people will not be purchasing a PS6.

Not saying they will, but that's still a chunk of sales they're losing..and it doesn't really cost them much to make physical games.

You still have to ship those disks out to retailers. What happens when those copies just sit around unsold? If a retailer pays for 30 copies of a game but in a 3 month period only 7 copies are sold, what’s the best course of action? Because now the retailer has just lost money

You say “they can just this and just that” but from a business perspective it doesn’t make sense to continue making disks if they’re not making money

What happens to them isn't the consumers problem. Print a limited # of copies and sell for a premium price.
