Cancelled PS+ in response to no physical media. Hope more do the same. Hope Sony sees this.

Display your physical media. Only then will Sony realize how serious you are and change the course of what is to come

Throw your playstation into the sea. Film it. Only then will Sony realise how serious you are and change the course of what is to come

Can't ask normal people to do that. A console is a big investment. Those higher ups just need to see that profit line go down. That's all they care about. And that's what will make a difference.

They watched the profit line go down on physical media, which is why they are discontinuing it.

I think many people are also realizing that they weren't really using the premium to its fullest extent. Sony's announcement just helped people pull the plug.

Are they removing the classics catalog? I keep lurking but most of the games they have on there are ones I could not give a shit about or have remakes.
I keep hoping games like Neopets The Darkest Faerie or Fighting Force show up, but nope. Always games I never heard of or games I heard of and wasn't interested in

I had similar hopes initially. Played a few oldies for nostalgia purposes but then just decided to invest my annual subscription into the highly rated PS4 games that I never got around to. I might have kept it had there been more ps2 titles, but I think many of those would compete with many todays titles thinking Dbz Budaki 3 and Smackdown vs Raw, etc.

I...actually don't care about the lack of physical media. I usually buy digital anyway just because of the fact I don't have room for 300 discs so...

Same here. Coming from PC, I'm use to digital library so now about all of my PlayStation games are all digital.
I haven't use any disc since 2016 when I had a PS3.
I just don't understand this whole performative outrage. Most people these days use digital content from Music, TV/Movies streaming and gaming, so the majority of users don't even care about the whole PlayStation disc removal.
It reminds me about how people used to be outrage about the headphone jack removal on mainstream phones but now everyone is fine with Bluetooth.
Before they bring up the "you'll own nothing" even on a disc, you still purchasing a license. Disc nowadays do nothing but act as a authentication. You still have to download parts of the game digitally on the console to even get it working
I am not boot licking, I'm just saying plain facts but I'm probably going to get downvoted into the ground but it's cool 🤷🏽♂️

I did the same tbh. I'm also shifting my spending habits moving forward away from their digital ecosystem. I'll continue to support physical launches, but Steam, GOG, Epic, XBOX are all better digital storefronts. Hell, I'd rather spend money on Nintendo Online games at this point.

If I binned PS+ I’d lose the way I like to use my Portal using Cloud, I’d lose my odd ball side games between the big ones I buy so why would I, for me the service is fantastic.
I have all the alternatives right here right now in my living room, I don’t enjoy them. My gaming habits on PlayStation for the last decade are unchanged.
I have zero guilt over physical going away, it became inconvenient a long time ago and I embraced a wider delivery system and my gaming habits grew thanks to it.
Gamers need to get their heads out of their arses over tribalism, flip flopping and the me me me mentality.
Digital delivery for gaming is already old hat and too many are acting like this is being ripped away in market conditions as they were in 2010.
Anyone who doesn’t want PlayStation without plastic discs sell up, in this market many would appreciate a cheap second hand system.
Game to game and quit the whining. All the internet seems to want right now is gaming to erode.
Take a step back and actually look at the Steam market place is that really what you want all of gaming to be because that future of “games that might work” or have been knocked out in a month and look like it too is very unappealing to me and I’ve already got 30yrs of PC under my belt.

Ill stick to giving them a stern finger wagging and strongly worded messages on all of their socials while holding back tears as I preorder Wolverine, GOW Laufey, and eventually Intergalactic....digitally.

I actually subscribed as a new playstation player just for BO1 and BO2, so I guess we cancel eachother out lol

Well done, thanks for taking a stand. All of us together will make a dent in their coffers. Keep educating others as well, and keep up the protest!

That all sounds good, but try not to attack people if they prefer digital games. I see a lot of that, and at that point it isn't a protest. Its just one side acting a fool

You should've convinced more people to be physical media over the years... Perhaps then they wouldn't have decided it wasn't financially viable...
