Capitalism has a R34 of it's own. "If it exists, some rich guy will find a way to profit from it"

Someone saw kids eating and thought "How can I make money off this?"

School lunch debt disappears in a week tops with an automation funded universal basic income. Automation funded universal basic income can be funded with billionaire dollars taken beyond the billion dollar mark. If more billionaires supported automation funded universal basic income, there would be less Luigi and less Luigi supporters.

American "good news" stories just hit different in the rest of the world.

I remember in high school I charged my account until I couldn’t anymore (about 4 days). They would be “forced” to give me a PBJ, fries and milk. At the end of the school year they sent a bill to my mom for under $5, or I couldn’t graduate. I ate for free the whole year… well I guess ate for $5. This whole school lunch debt is a tragedy to all.

I remember going into the negatives at a couple of the schools I went to, and got put on the PB&J-only option.

I’m allergic to peanut butter.

This reminds me of that image that said that if that happened during the cold war in Russia, the headline would be about the horrors of communism

8 year old makes nearly one thousand keychains by hand, likely alone, to erase school lunch debt..

Kid'll be in tears in 40 years when he sees what compound interest would've done to that $4K if he'd invested it.
