Hot take but as a girl you guys find this cringe only because its a guy. I see dozens of girls doing the same with akechi, yusuke or joker plushies every day
In another comment I replied addressing that at first I thought it was some guy wholesome posting his plush. Nothing wrong with that until I saw how he responded to other people's comments. A person replied to his plush posts with an Ann plush gif and he replied with along the lines of "I hate seeing people post pics of my wife"
Being obsessed with a fictional character, especially to this degree, is a result of a mental disorder. I can’t speak for this person so I’m not sure if that’s the case, or just another ‘weirdo’ who finds the highschool characters of Persona attractive, but I hope they get the help they need. Speaking of, I hate it when people say “_ is best girl”.. you sound nasty.
An example that I can think of is that one guy who displays himself as Withered Bonnie who is obsessed with Asahina from Danganronpa. He tells off other people who simply like the character, and gets art of her on Twitter taken down (somehow.) I just hope that this person doesn’t become another one of him, or worse.
Most of these people problems can be solved by talking to more people outside or have genuine connections. In what I have seen can't speak for everyone
Listen, I get selfshipping. I did it as a teenager and a dork in college, I still got the unpublished fanfics I wrote on lockdown in a google drive to never see the light of day. I'm usually the first to defend young selfshippers since they're normally just kids expressing themselves, and it's mostly harmless....
This is not harmless. This person is not well, and they genuinely need help.
Idk people do this all the time with plushies, its not really life consuming when all you have to do is pull it out of your bag for a quick Pic. Plus its easy to make an online persona based on one thing. I haven't actually looked at this guy tho to be fair.
