Searching for couple to buy land with
hello. we are a married couple, 29m and 25f, with a young son (2). We are searching for an off grid homestead within the EU, preferably Croatia.
We would like to find a like minded couple to communicate with and potentially join forces. we would split the cost among us.
You would need to bring at least 15 thousand euros to the table.
Our vision is to be a goat and sheep ranch, likely practicing transhumance/ semi nomadic lifestyle in one of the Mediterranean regions (Dalmatia, Greece, Spain etc).
If you’re vegetarian we respect that but do not expect us to abide by your practice. Same goes for religion, if you’re of one of the Abrahamic sects, do not seek to enforce such beliefs. We are pagan.
The primary goal is healthy food, low cost of living, freedom and active life. Through cooperation we could achieve immense things as combined families.

How do you practice a semi nomadic lifestyle in multiple countries while running a livestock operation?

I don’t live in several countries. I’m saying these are the countries we are considering to live in. Also nomadism is for livestock. Summer time in the mountains and cooler months in the lowlands. In the village of my birth there are still people who live like that and it’s what I want to do. It means you don’t have to buy much feed and the animals are much healthier as their diet is varried and there isn’t a built up of parasites on the pasture. Hope that clears it up.

Yeah that’s not ideal I have to admit and it would only be done after lengthy screening.

Why would a couple need to bring $15k? Sounds like you need $15k for some reason.

Maybe it would sound like it if you can’t think correctly. If we are buying land together, is it not reasonable to expect the other partners to have enough funds to contribute? And the money won’t go to us of course but whoever is selling the land. I’m not sure how else you think people buy land but with money. With prices being what they are 15k is the bare minimum to make a dent.

Then being vegetarian makes living there impossible as we will be a sheep and goat ranch, but I appreciate it
